The Kitten Connection

Rescue story: Mr Ginger Pants

Hi, I’m Mr Ginger Pants. My passion is writing and I send diary updates to my fans. (There’s only two of them so far, but it takes time to build an audience.)

I live with people again, after years on the streets. We met when She was catching cats on the cliffs in Peniche. Seemed acceptable, as people go, so when She held out a carrier box, I decided to grace her with my presence.

You won’t believe what She did as a thank you! She took me to the vet where they shaved my tummy, fixed my hernia, sterilised me and gave me a flea treatment. They did all sorts of tests to find out why I couldn’t walk. They couldn’t give me a new tail though.

She took me home and gave me a soft place thing called a basket. She’s positioned it so I can watch films. So far, my favourite has been Star Wars. I like to spend at least an hour a day playing. I’ve got to say, you can’t beat a toy octopus.

I’ve discovered all sorts of food in her fridge – ham is amazing! – and as She’s quite a reliable snack provider, I’ve decided to stay. She thinks it was her choice. Ha!
